About AEEE
Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) 2026 is the national-level computer-based test for B.Tech admissions to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, conducted in two phases, typically in February and May 2026, with applications opening around October–November 2025. Eligible candidates in Class 12 or equivalent can apply, book exam slots, download hall tickets, sit for the CBT, and participate in online CSAP counselling based on results; admission is also open via JEE Main percentile, and candidates may apply through both routes. The exam is for about 2.5 hours in English, with questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Quantitative Aptitude in MCQ format, and is held across more than 100 cities.

AEEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age
Candidates whose date of birth falls between 1st July 2004 and 30th June 2010.
Educational Qualification
A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with at least 50% in Mathematics.
Candidates appearing in any one of the following examinations are eligible to secure admission in B.Tech at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham:
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central / State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) or any other Board accepted by Amrita as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board or University.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by central board.
How to Apply for AEEE 2026
Interested candidates can register online for AEEE 2026 by clicking on “Register Now” button. Candidates must fill out personal information and academic profile and pay 1300/- to complete the registration. Once registered for AEEE 2026, candidates can also opt to apply with JEE Mains percentile without paying any additional fees.
AEEE 2026 will be conducted in 2 phases. It is NOT mandatory to attend both the phases. If a candidate wishes to attend Phase 2 after attending Phase 1, he/she has to pay INR 600/-. In general, Phase 1 can be attended to test the skills and understanding and the same can be improved in Phase 2.

B.Tech Scholarships are awarded to the top candidates registering for Centralised Seat Allotment Process with AEEE 2026 Ranks OR JEE Mains 2026 Percentile. The Centralised Seat Allotment Process is conducted after the publication of AEEE 2026 ranks. There is no rank range to avail scholarship. More than 70% seats are earmarked in scholarship category. Scholarship seats are earmarked separately for AEEE and JEE candidates.

Admission to B.Tech programmes offered at all the campuses is based on the rank scored in Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering 2026 OR JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score. Candidates with AEEE 2026 Rank OR JEE Mains 2026 Percentile Score shall register for the Centralised Seat Allotment Process to be held in May 2026.

Foreign passport holders of Indian origin, whose parent/s or siblings also hold OCI/PIO status. AEEE / JEE is not mandatory for admission.
Non-Resident Indians (NRI):

No, you will be able to choose your campus and program during the Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP), after the publication of AEEE 2026 ranks.
There is no management quota. Admissions are categorised into Scholarship and Non-Scholarship categories. Admission through scholarship is based on AEEE/JEE performance.

No, there is no lateral entry admission for the B.Tech program.
No, AEEE is not mandatory. JEE Main scores will also be considered for B.Tech admission.
The questions (MCQs) will be based on the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus.

No, we do not have a cutoff system for AEEE or JEE. Seat allocation is based on students’ ranks in AEEE/JEE, the number of applications, and applicants’ preferences, which vary each year. All applicants with AEEE/JEE scores are eligible to register for CSAP (Centralized Seat Allotment Process).
